Witwatersrand Lodge is the 3745th Lodge to be consecrated by the United Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of England and is in the
District of South Africa, North. Exactly where we fit into the structure of the Grand Lodge of England can be depicted graphically as follows:

UNITED GRAND LODGE OF ENGLAND - the governing body of Freemasonry in England, Wales and
the Channel Islands. Its headquarters are at Freemasons' Hall, Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5AZ. The United Grand Lodge of England
is headed up by the Grand Master, HRH The Duke of Kent, KG, GCMG, GCVO, ADC. |

METROPOLITAN GRAND LODGE OF LONDON - comprising of Lodges that meet in London,
generally within a 10 mile radius of the United Grand Lodge of England. It is headed up by the Metropolitan Grand Master.

PROVINCES - comprising of Lodges that meet outside London but within England,
Wales, The Isle of Man and the Channel Island. Each Province is headed up by a Provincial Grand Master.
